The Automotive Service Technician program is designed to provide skills in basic engine mechanics. Students receive training in small engines which may include chain saws, lawn mowers, and garden tillers, as well as other lawn and garden equipment. Training in larger engines includes car, truck, and tractor technology. Light welding and oxy-acetylene welding and cutting are also a part of this program. Upon completion of this 2-year, 2-hour per day program, the student may seek entry-level employment as a small engine technician, auto technician, welder, or maintenance person.
