Message from the principal, Mrs. Sandra Stuart:
We truly do have AMAZING students at Runnelstown!! They did a fantastic job today for the Veterans Day program!! Thank you for all of your hard work!!!! Ashley Walters, thank you for your hard work and dedication!! You did FABULOUS!!!
**If you can’t teach me to fly, then teach me music.**
Miss Ashley Walters has been teaching music to our Pre-K - 5th graders this semester, and the students have had a blast. We are very excited for the up-coming Veteran's Day and Christmas programs she is planning. Stay tuned for announcements concerning these two events.
First Responder Friday
It was great having First Responders eat lunch with us on Friday, September 6, 2019! The students really had an awesome time talking with them! Our superintendent and Board member, Mr. Mathis and his wife, even joined us! Thank you all for ALL you do! Remember....we will do this the first Friday of every month!!
Leer en toda la semana de América
The Runnelstown Elementary School Library recently purchased 4 bean bag chairs. Students will have many opportunities throughout the school year to sit in them to read. Our goal is to create an atmosphere that promotes meaningful reading time and cultivates a love of reading.
Importance of Reading
15 minutes/day of independent reading can = 1 million+ words in a year.
Children who read 3,000 words per day will be in the top 2% of standardized tests.
LECCIONES DE VIDA PARA ESTUDIANTES
Los carteles que enseñan lecciones de vida se encuentran en los pasillos de nuestra escuela, tal como fueron creados y colocados por nuestros maestros.
